"Aussie Dave" has spent the last 5 years working in retail management, in between a semi-professional hockey career. He gained extensive experience in team management and sales in Australia, before emigrating to pursue a hockey career in the north of England.Now playing hockey at senior club level, Dave has brought his experience in sales, client services and management to the Bulgarian Home Loans team and is now one of our top advisors.

He now calls the north of England his home and is more English than your average Yorkshireman.

Kenny Pang
Consultant

A 2005 graduate, Kenny used his customer service experience and catering skills to set up a new catering venture in Sheffield. After 8 months in a managerial position, he changed direction by joining the BHL team.

Kenny is a bit of a ladies man, something his girlfriend will find hard to hear. A keen cook and Guinness drinker the Pangster also likes watching, badminton, squash and climbing.

Darius Virabi
UK Sales Manager

Darius 'The Dazzler' Virabi, is one of the newest members to our BHL team. After completing his degree in 2006, Darius joined our team to begin his career in finance. A keen hockey player and also a member of the Simplicity football team Darius has settled well and has become an integral cog in the BHL wheel developing a sound knowledge of our products and services. If youre wondering how he obtained his nick name, have a gander at his sparkling smile

Lucy Swift
Processing Manager

Lucy Swift, a true Sheffield local has been with the company for more than a year now. With extensive experience in banking, accounts and most importantly customer service, you would be hard pressed to find anyone that didn't enjoy dealing with her. She enjoys drinking the odd pint of cider ( as most locals do ) and has recently become particularly interested in home decoration.

Friendly, pretty and always on the ball, Lucy leads the processing team with professionalism, efficiency and mortgage completions. Lucy entertains the office every Friday with good nature and provocative attire. If you plan to visit the office, Fridays the day to do it.

Sue Forrest
Processing Assistant

Sue joined BHL in April 2006 as we were desparatley in need of an Office Mum...until that point the role was forced upon Lucy which she found terribly offensive as she was only 27. Sue has proved to be the finest Office Mum cleaning up our coffee cups, taking on the birthday collections and generally telling us off when we are naughty. We cannot do without her when she brings in our BOGOFs from Iceland to keep us going through the long working days! She is a keen caravaner and can often be found clogging up the motorway.

Sue likes nothing more than to get parked up, awning in place, settled in deckchair and then get completely loopy on vodka! She taught her beloved boys how to drink and even has them drinking a pint of water before bed after a night on the lash. What a woman!

Kirsty Morton
Processing Assistant

Kirsty is the youngest member of Bulgaria Home Loans, but has established herself as an essential and integral part of the team. She is a key mortgage processor and puts the rest of the office to shame with her efficiency! Kirsty is the backbone of BHL- we don’t let her go on holiday for fear of the office falling apart! Amazingly, her efficiency seems to peak on Thursday mornings, after her regular Wednesday nights out. No matter how late she gets home or how much she drinks, she’s in bright and early and always seems to shine on Thursday mornings.

When you call and speak to Kirsty listen hard- she has a sweet but tiny little voice with a thick Yorkshire accent! And if you come into the office and are lucky enough to meet her, behave (she is quite the cutie)

Graham Day
Mortgage Processor

Another resident of Sheffield, Graham brings with him over 10 years experience as a financial and mortgage adviser with major UK banks. Keen for a new challenge, Graham joined our processing team in March of this year. He deals with the administration of the mortgage applications and will probably be one of the first people you speak to at BHL. Graham is keen to help and is committed to working hard to ensure that your application progresses as smoothly as possible.

A graduate in Economics, Graham knows a thing or two about maths and can often be seen counting the empties on the pub table (other peoples of course).

When not working he enjoys doing up his house (a five year quest so far) and tidying up the jungle which used to be his garden. You would be hard pressed to find a more pleasant or helpful chap!

Kristian Baxter
Bulgarian Mortgage Broker

Kristian is one of the newest members to the BHL team and with his enthusiasm and professionalism he fitted in straight away.

An ex semi-pro footballer, Kristian is now pivotal member of the company’s 5-a-side team, knocking in the important goals so we can scrape a win. Unfortunately for us, he is also a Sheffield Wednesday fan (constant moaning of the clubs poor performances fills the office on a Monday morning!!!!)

Kristian has previous experience working for the press association as a Team leader dealing with customer services and managing a team of journalist. He has also worked in Sales and Marketing in the USA of a large chemical manufacturing firm.

Having graduated in Business studies, Kristian joined BHL seeking a new career in the finance industry to assist him with his own financial development.

Lyubomir Mishkov
Mortgage Administrator

Lyubomir Mishkov is the newest member of BHL UK team and the first Bulgarian working in the UK office. His educational background is in International Economic Relations with a completed Master Degree in 2006.

Lyubo’s favourite hobby is hunting, he is a professional guide and is qualified to organise hunting tourist trips in Bulgaria. So, if you are looking for a truly powerful and emotional experience and are prepared to venture into the wild and dangerous, Lyubo is your man.

Aniss Makki
Sales Director

Aniss is the newest member of the BHL team. Aniss spent most of his early life in Saudi Arabia and in 1990 moved to Bulgaria. He went to the American College of Sofia for his high school education and then attended The University of Miami in Florida, where he obtained his Bachelors degree in Finance.

Aniss’ previous work experience includes working in CHIMCO AD as an office assistant.  Aniss enjoys spending his free time with close friends and playing sports.

Elena Mihaylova

Elena Mihaylova is the senior solicitor at BHL - She briefly left the team and we were delighted to welcome her back.

Elena has a Masters degree in Law from Sofia University, where she studied for a five years. She loves her profession and is loving working for BHL and th eopportunities it has provided.

For the last six years she has been living Sofia, before that she lived in Madan (a small town in the South of Bulgaria) where she went to High School. Elena has previuosly spent three summers in Ocean City in Maryland,USA - it's a very beautiful city on the East Coast. In her spare time she likes to go out with her friends and love's to travel.

Vasil Yakovchev
Solicitor
Vasil was born in the city of Pestera and lived there until he was 18 years old. Pestera is a small town in South-West part of Bulgaria and is located in the foot of Rodopi mountains. He graduated in English language school in the city of Pazardjik. He has also studied law at the Univesrsity of National and World Economy in Sofia between September 2001 and April 2007, where he recieved a Master's Degree. In the last year of his education Vasil begun his professional career in Paleva, as a trainee at the Lekov and Co. law association. He finally Joined us at Bulgarian Home Loans on the 14th of March 2008 as Solicitor.
Professionally Vasil has an interest in commercial law, real estate law, litigation and representation before court. But its not all about work as he enjoys playing football and tennis when he is relaxing.
Vasil's Biggest Passion is to Travel Around the world and see the sights, so far he has only ticked off Greece and Spain from his list!!

Magdalena Chaneva
Operations Director

Magdalena started her job at Bulgarian Home Loans in the beginning of October 2006.

She has a Masters Degree in Marketing Planning from Sofia Institute of Economics and a Bachelors degree from Portsmouth University, United Kingdom.

Magdalena has a large experience in administration and business planning. She keeps the hotline between our offices in Sofia and Sheffield.

Maggie is fond of travelling, poetry and yoga.

Hristo Hristov
Mortgage Processing Consultant

Hristo Hristov was born in Kyustendil (a town in the south-western part of Bulgaria). He graduated from a language school in Kyustendil and then got a bachelors degree at the University of National and World economy, Sofia. He spent nine months practice at the Executive Agency Road Transport Administration in the Professional competence, psychological selection and drivers department. After that he started working in Piraeus Bank but accepted the proposal to join the young team of Bulgarian Home Loans.

In a personal plan he likes sport activities and especially football (both playing and watching). He thinks that every man has to be in a good shape and to think positively: “A healthy spirit in a healthy body.”

Dicho Dichev
Mortgage Processing Consultant

Dicho is 24 year old young man from Sofia, Bulgaria. He joined to Bulgarian Home Loans in April 2007 and became a part of our mortgage department.

He has Bachelors degree from “University of National and World Economic”-Sofia. Before BHL he has been working in the big and interesting world of wines.

Dicho is interested in history, mass media and PR. Love music, good food and wine, riding bicycle and walk with hours through the city, big parks and nature.

Sabina Vankova
Bulgarian Solicitor

Sabina is 23 years old. She graduated from English Language School. At the present time she is a fifth year law student at the Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski", but she is close to completing a Master's Degree.

Sabina is interested in real estate deals and she intends to practise civil law. Sabina likes touring the country very much. She is fond of visiting the seaside, mountain's and spa resorts. In her spare time Sabina usually meets friends or goes shopping.

Rumen Ivanov
Mortgage Administrator

Rumen is 27 years old and is the most recent person who joined the BHL team. When he got his Master’s degree in agricultural sciences in 2005, he had already been working as a local project coordinator for a German company in a multinational environment. Afterwards he moved to an NGO for a short period and kept increasing his administrative experience. On that flow he comes to the BHL family. He works hard to prove himself in the new job and to convert his profession into a hobby.

Fluent of English, Spanish, Russian, Serbian, and surely Bulgarian, since his early childhood languages have been his greatest passion. A friendly, helpful, smiling guy with his always positive attitude to the world, he loves parties, dancing, movies, reading books and playing badminton.

Maria Vasileva
Mortgage Advisor

Maria is one of the newest members of the BHL team. She joined the team in December 2007. Maria has a bachelor’s degree in Tourism at the University of National and World Economy, Sofia. She got her Master’s degree in International Economic Relations at the end of 2006. Working for BHL is her first job. She speaks Spanish and English. In her spare time she likes traveling and going out with friends. Her hobbies are fishing, listening to music and going to the cinema.

Petya Sabotinova
Accountant

Petya joined Bulgarian Home Loans in May. She graduated with a masters degree from "University of National and World Economic" in the subject of accounting.

Petya takes key interest in Economics and enjoys reading books and listening to music, but that doesn't mean that she is not an active person as she enjoys the occasional work across the mountain side and national parks.

Asia Hristova
Mortgage Administrator

Asia was born in a little town called Kavarna on the Black Sea coast in Bulgaria. There she studied at high school, where her main subject was English. For the past two years Asia has studied Business administration at The University of National and World Economy in Sofia. But as a very dynamic person, she  also worked through her education holding possitions as a bartender, M-Tel call-operator, and now gaining the position of one of the Bulgarian Home Loans Mortgage Administrator. She feels that her studies were very important to her but thinks that working in BHL would give her so much more experience, communicative and organization skills.

She is a very positive, friendly and lively person, with interests in listening to music, going to parties, walking in the park, go out with friends, swimming and dancing.
